Howdy! I’m Sarah Levings, an artist based in Sulphur Springs, Texas. I went to school for making pots, studying studio art with a focus in painting and ceramics at The University of North Texas.

Each piece begins with making wheel thrown or hand built ceramics with porcelain. The surface decoration is then created by painting and carving away the clay to create forms and patterns that are unique to each individual piece. I’m constantly looking at color, textiles, plants, and imperfect details found in everyday objects that I’ll be thinking about while making my work.
